Gingham Gala

Well I for one can't wait for spring to arrive.. there are little signs everywhere but it's still too dark in the morning for me to get giddy just yet.

One thing that is making me VERY happy is the Stampin' Up! Spring / Summer seasonal catalogue and all the gorgeous new products on offer - click the link top right to take you there.

This week I am preparing to run three classes locally and I'll be using products from the Gingham Gala Suite and you don't get much more spring like than that suite, it's full of butterflies, gingham check (making me long for picnics!) and juicy bright colours.

As the classes this week are card making I've designed three cute projects.  A 'fancy fold' card, a sweet desk calendar and a set of 2 mini note cards (only one on the group photo).  I want to showcase as many products as possible from not only the suite in the Spring catalogue but also highlight the THREE FREE Sale-A-Bration items available this year that coordinate with the suite.

On the fancy fold card I've managed to use two of the coordinating Sale-A-Bration items and one which isn't highlighted as specifically designed to coordinate with this suite.  Do you love that BIG butterfly on the desk calendar as much as I do?  I fussy cut that one from the free designer series paper and gave it a background of black to make it really stand out.  I just adore how the mini note card turned out with the addition of a bit of musical note paper stamped from our background stamp.
