Flitting and Fluttering...

I've been so busy since I returned from my holiday in Norfolk on Monday.  Tuesday was spent doing domestic chores including cleaning the caravan grocery shopping and washing! I was back to work on Wednesday and ran one of my card making classes on Thursday evening.  Saturday was also busy with three wonderful weddings that I officiated, so by the time Saturday evening arrived I was ready for a glass of wine and an indulgent evening on the sofa watching Strictly!  Are you watching this season?  I think it's going to be fab, some excellent talent so far and it's only week 2.

I got up especially early this morning to finish off making this project for Home Decor class on Wednesday 2nd October and I apologise to my regulars that this hasn't been posted until now - I know that a lot of you want to see the projects before you book class.

I picked up these fabulous plain wood hearts in town and I knew immediately that I wanted to decorate one for my own home.  I've had the butterfly punch in mind to make a 'spectrum' project since it came out in the spring and this seemed to be a perfect time to go for it.  I'm really happy with the result.  In class I will be offering a selection of papers for different spectrum combos and the background can also be customised.

I started by giving the whole piece a coat of white acrylic gesso to give a lovely pale background.  Next I used texture paste and a mask along with die cut pieces to add texture and I've lightly stamped using a large background stamp to add visual interest. Each butterfly was given a 3D effect using embossing tools and a bone folder - it's a really simple and easy technique but it really makes a difference.

All products (with the exception of the wooden heart and gesso) can be purchased from my online shop; just click the link above and you'll be there.

If you would like to book on this class I have a couple of places left - so contact me quickly and I'll reserve one for you.  Full details are on my classes and events page on this blog or over on Facebook @issyscraftybees.  Contacting me is simple, all details are on my contact page.

Stampin' Up! Autumn Winter catalogue

Gahh! Nope, not quite yet!!  But you can still get giddy about the season as the NEW Autumn / Winter seasonal catalogue launches on Wednesday 4th September and I can't wait to start sharing lots of fun and festive projects with you over the next few months.

Stampin' Up! 2019 - 2020 holiday catalogueI'm starting this Sunday with a Christmas card stamp-a-stack workshop which is already fully booked.  I'm going to be sharing two gorgeous 'suites' of products during this workshop.  First up is the Wrapped in Plaid suite which includes really lovely traditional colours of red and green. The stack of DSP has plaid designs on one side and other seasonal images on the other.  There is a super stamp set featuring Christmas trees and fun sentiments and a matching punch. As always there is a 10% discount when purchasing the bundle of stamp set and punch.  Accessories to complete the suite include ribbon, mini jingle bells and GOLD mini pizza boxes!

Stampin' Up! 2019 - 2020 Holiday catalogue

The other suite I've chosen to showcase marries a more contemporary colour scheme of rich copper with Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow and Pretty Peacock.  The DSP has foil accents and this gives it a really classy look.  I adore the bauble stamps and as always I'm happy, happy, happy to have a matching punch... this set has a pack of two matching punches! Yay!  Brightly Gleaming is the name of the suite.

I am really looking forward to sharing both these suites with my customers on Sunday when they will be stamping a stack of 20 cards.

If you would like a copy of the catalogue posting to you then please contact me (just click the tab above) and let me know your name and address. You can shop online with me at any time by clicking the 'visit my shop' icon at the top of this page.  That important date for the new products is Wednesday 4th September.  Don't forget if you are local to Retford or Bawtry then please check out details of my locally run classes and join me for some festive fun soon.

The best time to join my team...BUT HURRY...

This fantastic offer ends on 31st August so HURRY!

Who?  Anyone with passion for excellent quality craft supplies.
How? Easy! click the link to 'join my team' and follow the instructions.
What?  Read on...

This offer is not just fantastic value for money:

You get to pick £155 worth of products for only £99 and these can be from either the Annual Catalogue, the beginner brochure or - even though it hasn't launched to the public yet -, the fabulous Christmas seasonal catalogue (you'll need to contact me for an exclusive link to a PDF version).
Not only that but you will get an £8 coupon to spend next month.
Not only that but you will be able to see the Spring/Summer seasonal catalogue in November before it goes live to the public and will get exclusive access to order from it early!

A word about the word Demonstrator - I often hear "I don't want to run classes or demonstrate in public".  Think about the word member instead, does that sound more acceptable?  I thought so!  So, by joining Stampin' Up! you don't actually need to demonstrate anything, you will be classed as an active member so long as you make minimum quarterly 'sales' and these sales can be your own purchases.  Each of these sales/purchases are at a discount so you can get all the fabulous products that you love from Stampin' Up! at a discount for your own hobby.   You love Stampin' Up! products so it's easy to make these purchases. You could sell to friends too and they could become your customers.. no demonstration necessary, just share what you love with your crafty friends.

What if you don't make the quarterly sales?  You do get an opportunity to go for it for a little bit longer than your first quarter - what we call 'pending' (pending leaving) or you just leave.  There are no phone calls, no angry or pressurised emails persuading you to get your finger out!

So, let's re-cap:

  • Pay £99 - get £155 worth of goodies - that's a 'no brainer'.
  • Join now and get until December to make purchases/sales at a discount (your first quarter will start October)
  • Get to choose your 'starter kit' from Annual Catalogue or Christmas Catalogue (not available to public until September).
  • Get a coupon to spend in September worth £8.
  • Get to see the Spring / Summer catalogue in November and order products at a discount before it launches to the public.

Oh, and you also get access to Stampin' Up! news and offers exclusively while you are a member and .... you could be attending the most fantastic event in the Stampin' Up! calendar... On Stage live  which is in Germany in November.

What is in the kit?  Anything you want at all from either the Annual Catalogue or the NEW Seasonal (Christmas) catalogue which hasn't even launched yet!!

Where's the catch?  There isn't one, you DO NOT have to 'demonstrate' - i.e. stand in front of people and sell or show them how to craft.  You DO get a further discount on all further products that you order.  Let me be clear, there is no obligation to order products for other people, your future orders can be just for you - who doesn't want to get the best quality craft products at a discount?

How? Glad you asked that, it's so simple.. just click the picture above and it will take you to my online website.

Still got questions?  Please don't hesitate to contact me - all my details are here on this blog and I'm always happy to chat through your questions.

So, whether you want an additional income by earning excellent commissions by sharing your own love of paper crafting - Being an active Demonstrator running your own events - or whether you want to get discounts on your own hobby products - Being a 'hobby' Demonstrator, it's all possible.  I am here as your Team Leader to ensure that you get a fit that's right for you.
